Worldwide grow many different species of acacia. We process exclusively acacia wood from South East Asia, such as Thailand and Vietnam. The wood colour reaches from dark brown to white. The acacia wood (bot. Acacia hybrid mangium x auriculif) is especially resistant to dampness and almost without deformation. This is the reason that acacia wood is especially suitable for cutting boards in commercial use with high demand. Our cutting boards are impregnated with a food safe oil. This decreases the risk of the intrusion of dampness and makes the boards more resistant and saves them from early contamination. All acacia cutting boards are FSC certified and originate from exemplarily cultivated woods.
